Parkside Dundas: OO Gauge: BR Ale Pallet Wagon

Parkside: OO Scale.  This kit contains the components to create a BR Ale Pallet Wagon.  A small fleet of these wagons were rebuilt from BR tubes in the mid 1960s to carry palletised beer barrels and kegs between breweries and distribution depots. Each wagon could carry 14 tons gross palletised beer. The traffic declined in the 1970s but some of these vehicles lasted on as barrier wagons for hazardous loads.
